New ‘Power Rangers’ Image Previews Virtual Reality Experience

Lionsgate has released a new 'Power Rangers: Zords Rising' image that previews the virtual reality experience ahead of the CES.

Last month Qualcomm Incorporated announced that they were teaming up with Lionsgate to create a Power Rangers virtual reality experience that would allow fans to feel the thrill of taking control of a Zord. Ahead of this weeks International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Lionsgate has released an official image from the project titled Power Rangers: Zords Rising.

The image features Alpha 5 alongside 5 holographic versions of the Rangers. The photo appears to be set in the same location as recent images featuring the first look at Bryan Cranston as Zordon.

Saban’s Power Rangers follows five ordinary teens who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discoverer they are the only ones who save the planet. But to do so, they will have to overcome their real-life issues and before it’s too late, band together as the Power Rangers. 

Directed by Dean Israelite, the film stars Dacre Montgomery, Naomi Scott, RJ Cyler, Becky G, Ludi Lin, Bryan Cranston, Elizabeth Banks and Bill Hader.

Power Rangers will be released in theaters on March 24, 2017.
