A new behind-the-scenes look at Thor: Ragnarok features director Taika Waititi and the cast discussing Thor’s new team: the Revengers (or maybe not). The short video gives us a look at the team dynamic, Mark Ruffalo’s experience of playing a more talkative Hulk, and what we can expect of the new addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Valkyrie.
The video includes a glimpse at Valkyrie’s handiness with a weapon, as well as Valkyrie actress Tessa Thompson telling us her character is “one of many elite warriors”. It’s also revealed that, while she and Thor may be out for revenge, Bruce Banner seems a little less committed on that front.
Check out the featurette from Marvel below.
Ruffalo, who plays Banner, talks about getting to play “two totally different characters”, perhaps hinting we’re getting a more fleshed-out Hulk than the simple force of destruction we’ve seen before. Chris Hemsworth (Thor) also touches on what to expect from the Hulk this time around, describing his character and the jolly jade giant as being “like roommates”. This seems to imply we’ll be seeing plenty of the friendly rivalry the trailers have hinted at. More importantly though, does this mean the God of Thunder has left Darryl behind? And if so, who is his former roommate going to split the rent with now?

Imprisoned on the other side of the universe, the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth) finds himself in a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), his former ally and fellow Avenger. Thor’s quest for survival leads him in a race against time to prevent the all-powerful Hela (Cate Blanchett) from destroying his home world and the Asgardian civilization.
The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett, Mark Ruffalo, Tessa Thompson, Idris Elba, Karl Urban, and Jeff Goldblum.
Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters on November 3rd.
