Nico Santos, who has previously appeared in Crazy Rich Asians and TV series Superstore, is the latest cast member announced to be appearing in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is set to conclude James Gunn’s Marvel trilogy, marking the final outing for the current Guardians team. In addition to the retuning spacefaring superheroes, the film is set to feature Will Poulter as Adam Warlock, alongside Maria Bakalova, Daniela Melchior and Chukwudi Iwuji. Sylvester Stallone is also set to return, reprising the role of Starhawk.

‘Guardians 3’ Keeps Growing

While details of the film’s plot remain under wraps, the cast for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 continues to grow, with new cast members being regularly revealed following the conclusion of filming on James Gunn’s final Guardians movie. Production wrapped on the Marvel film at the start of May.

It is not yet known who Nico Santos will be playing in the third installment of the Guardians franchise. The actor is best known for his performance as Oliver T’sien in 2018’s Crazy Rich Asians. His work on the NBS comedy series Superstore saw him nominated for a Critics Choice Award in both 2019 and 2020.

While few details are known about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3‘s plot, the film will introduce Adam Warlock – an all-powerful cosmic hero, genetically engineered by Vol. 2‘s gold-skinned Sovereign. Played by Will Poulter, it is not yet known if Warlock will join forces with the Guardians or stand against them.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is written and directed by James Gunn and in addition to Maria Bakalova, stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Sean Gunn, Sylvester Stallone, Will Poulter and Chukwudi Iwuji.
