Nicolas Cage Spider-Man Noir Into the Spider-Verse

Nicolas Cage won’t return as Spider-Man Noir for Across the Spider-Verse.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse introduced audiences to a slew of alternate versions of Spider-Man, with Nicolas Cage’s Spider-Man Noir being one of the highlights of the Oscar-winning animated feature. However, during a recent interview with ScreenRant, Cage revealed that he hasn’t been asked to reprise his role as Spider-Man Noir for the Into the Spider-Verse sequel.

“You’d have to ask Sony. I don’t know what’s going on with that,” Nicolas Cage told ScreenRant when asked if he’s in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. “No one’s spoken to me about that. Ask them. I don’t know. I wish they would. I love Spider-Man Noir, too. I think that’s a great character. Spider-Man’s the coolest superhero. And then you combine that with Cagney and Bogart and Edward G. Robinson, come on, it’s a great character.”

The first official trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse made its debut this past December, giving fans a sneak peek at the long-awaited return of Shameik Moore’s Miles Morales and Hailee Steinfeld’s Gwen Stacy, as well as various franchise newcomers. However, Spider-Man Noir was absent from the trailer, leading fans to question his involvement in the Spider-Verse sequel.
