The upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series will reportedly feature a post-credits scene early on in the series.

Spoilers ahead for the upcoming series!

Post-credit scenes for Star Wars projects aren’t as common as it is for Marvel and DC projects. However, both The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett recently wrapped up their seasons with a tease for what’s to come. According to Making Star Wars, Obi-Wan Kenobi will also have a post-credits scene, but unlike the previous shows, it will occur earlier on in the season.

Darth Vader will return as the big bad of Obi-Wan Kenobi, with the two facing off once again before A New Hope. However, Darth Vader isn’t expected to appear at the start of the series. Per the report from Making Star Wars, the post-credits scene will occur after episode two and serve as the introduction of Darth Vader in the series after Kenobi saves a young Princess Leia. The scene is also said to show Hayden Christensen’s wounded Anakin Skywalker in the Bacta Tank before he suits up as Darth Vader.

Here is the synopsis for the upcoming Star Wars series:

During the reign of the Galactic Empire, former Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi embarks on a crucial mission. Kenobi must confront allies turned enemies and face the wrath of the Empire.”

Directed by Deborah Chow from Joby Harold’s scripts, the series stars Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie. The series will also see the return of legendary Star Wars composer John Williams, who scored a theme.

Obi-Wan Kenobi will hit Disney Plus on May 27, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the upcoming series, and subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
