Owen Wilson Confirms Return As Mobius For ‘Loki’ Season 2

The Return of the King...

Owen Wilson has confirmed that he’s set to return as everyone’s favorite TVA agent Mobius for Loki‘s upcoming season.

The Jetski king is back! Loki was chock-full of interesting characters but perhaps the most loveable was Owen Wilson’s Mobius, who operated as the TVA agent assigned to the God of Mischief. Hell-bent on rehabilitating the trickster instead of “pruning him”, Mobius showed empathy, kindness, and morbid curiosity that simply didn’t exist in the stoic TVA. Mobius and Loki eventually became somewhat compatible friends as the Disney Plus series closed off its first season.

All eyes are now on season 2, which is set to pick up after a major cliffhanger that saw the multiverse opening up and Loki being stuck in a timeline where Mobius was unaware of his existence. Audiences have naturally wondered if Owen Wilson will return as Mobius and it turns out the answer is a whole-hearted yes.

While completing Wired’s Autocomplete interview, Owen Wilson cheerfully confirmed his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is set to begin filming “pretty soon”.

“Is Owen Wilson coming back to Loki? Um…yes. He is coming back to Loki, and I think we’re going to begin filming that pretty soon. I had a great time working on Loki. I really enjoyed Tom Hiddleston and all the people on that [show].”

Owen Wilson made his MCU debut in the first season of Loki. Here is the synopsis for the Disney Plus series:

In Marvel Studios’ “Loki,” the mercurial villain Loki (Tom Hiddleston) resumes his role as the God of Mischief in a new series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.”

Directed by Kate Herron, with Michael Waldron serving as head writer, the new series stars Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino, Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
