Ever since Pacific Rim: Uprising began filming late last year, fans anticipating the film have been treated to brief behind-the-scenes videos and cryptic images from production. Now, The Daily Telegraph has captured some photos from the films shoot in Sydney, Australia that offer fans their first look at star Scott Eastwood in Jaeger Armor.
The photos feature Eastwood as Nate Lambert sporting his Jaeger Armor amid the special effects and blue screen that will evidently bring a scene of chaos to screen once the project is complete.
It may be worth noting that Eastwood’s armor is similar in design to co-star John Boyega’s armor, suggesting both characters will co-pilot the same Jaeger.

Few details on Pacific Rim: Uprising are known at this point, except that the story will include John Boyega as Jake Pentecost, the son of Idris Elba’s character, Stacker Pentecost, who was featured in the first film. Stacker Pentecost sacrificed his life at the end of the first film by closing the portal between Earth and the world of the Kaiju.
Directed by Steven S. DeKnight, Pacific Rim: Uprising also stars Cailee Spaeny, Jing Tian, Rinko Kikuchi, Charlie Day, Burn Gorman and Levi Meaden.
Pacific Rim director Guillermo del Toro will serve as a producer on the sequel.
Pacific Rim: Uprising will be released in theaters on February 23rd, 2018.
