After a period of uncertainty, Pacific Rim: Uprising kicked off production in Australia last year and will finally become a reality. Though information on the film is limited at this point, star John Boyega has periodically offered fans briefs glimpses on the projects production. Now, Boyega has given a nod to the past by sharing an illustration of scene featuring a Jaeger from the first film.
The illustration features a Jaeger, the gigantic humanoid mechas designed to combat Kaiju, standing in the rain with a helicopter close by.

Few details on the Pacific Rim: Uprising‘s story are known at this point, though we do know that John Boyega will play Jake Pentecost, the son of Idris Elba’s character Stacker Pentecost, who closed the portal between Earth and the world of the Kaiju by sacrificing his own life at the end of the first film. Boyega has been spotted on set wearing Jaeger pilot armor.
