Peter Capaldi has revealed that his next role in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad needs plenty of prosthetic make-up.
Before the recent news that Peter Capaldi will be appearing alongside Pete Davidson in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad, the Doctor Who actor revealed some new information, presumably about his unconfirmed role in the DC Comics film. While there also aren’t any confirmed details about the plot of James Gunn’s take on The Suicide Squad, they’re gearing up to begin production over the next few weeks.
In a recent appearance at Fan Expo Toronto, Peter Capaldi was asked why he’d shaved off his longer grey hair, which is when he revealed that his next role requires prosthetics. The Fan Expo took place before the news about Peter Capaldi’s role in The Suicide Squad was announced. But now that it has – it’s seemingly obvious that this is what he’s referring to when he mentions that he couldn’t tell the audience about it. He also briefly talks about going to be completely bald for the role. Fans on Reddit were quick to make guesses at who Peter Capaldi be playing in James Gunn’s film, ranging from Psimon to Mr. Freeze and even Brainiac. Here’s what Peter Capaldi had to say on the matter:
“At the moment I can’t tell you, not because I don’t want to tell you, but because I’m not allowed to tell you. But, I’m gonna be completely bald. They started it because they had to do some prosthetics. So they had to take my hair back to… and I said could you leave a little bit because I’m going to Toronto and I want to look good for the people there! So they left a little bit, and we did some head casts and stuff. And then I came here. But when I go home, it’s gonna go again, all the way. Curb your enthusiasm is what I would say, it’ll be what it’ll be.”
