Update: Peter Parker Suits Up In New ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Set Videos

As previously reported, Jon Watts’ Spider-Man: Homecoming has wrapped filming in Atlanta and has now moved to Spidey’s home, New York City. In the first set videos, fans can see Tom Holland’s Peter Parker swapping his civilian clothes for his Iron Man-designed Spider-Man costume, as seen in this summer’s Captain America: Civil War. Unlike other interpretations of the character, this incarnation of Spidey does not wear his costume underneath his clothes. This is inline with the comic books, specifically Ultimate Spider-Man, in which the character would carry around a “web-bag” a backpack-like contraption which would hold his civilian clothes when he needed to suit up.  I am not going to lie; I am getting a real Spider-Man 2 feel from these set photos. You can just feel the care and compassion Marvel feel for this character. A special thanks should go out to Twitter user About Tom Holland for their excellent tweets regarding the set images and videos you can check out below!

Update: New images of Holland in the costume have surfaced.

In addition to all of this, it appears that a source close to the set has revealed some interesting details regarding the scene filmed today. According to Instagram user Spiderman_The_New_Avenger, the scene filmed above involved The Vulture or one of the film’s other antagonists, robbing a convenient store. Now, I have no idea how true this statement is, but the source cannot be too incorrect considering the amount of set videos the Instagram account was able to nab.

What do you guys think? Are you excited for Spider-Man: Homecoming? Pfff, who am I kidding, of course you are!

Spider-Man: Homecoming swings into cinemas everywhere on July 7, 2017.
