Lionsgate’s official Twitter account for the upcoming Power Rangers reboot has teased the appearance of the Green Ranger.
While the new film is a darker, more mature reimagining of the original Fox Kids series, it remains true to its core with the characters of the teenagers with attitude, only it’s missing the most popular Ranger, The Green Ranger aka Tommy Oliver played by Jason David Frank in the series.
While the Green Ranger himself didn’t show up until the 17th episode of the first season of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, nor does he appear to be in the reboot from Lionsgate — although Rita Repulsa (Elizabeth Banks) does seem to be harnessing the power of the Dragon coin — Lionsgate is wasting no time teasing a future appearance of the Green Ranger as they have just revealed the design for his helmet online.
