New Image Of Elizabeth Banks As Rita Repulsa In ‘Power Rangers’

Power Rangers Elizabeth Banks Rita Repulsa

We’ve yet to see some footage from Dean Israelite’s Power Rangers reboot, which is rather surprising considering that the movie is only a few months away (as of this writing). That said, a teaser or a full-length trailer can’t be too far away, but until then, we’ll just have to continue looking at images from the movie every now and then.

The latest image from Power Rangers was released by Lionsgate’s Chief Brand Officer and President of Worldwide Marketing, Tim Palen, and features Elizabeth Banks in full costume as Rita Repulsa. She seems to be trapped in some sort of glass enclosure, but it doesn’t look like she’ll be staying there for much longer.

You can check out the image below.

    Yes please!

  • I know there’s been alot of shade thrown this movie’s way by people either too old or too young to have ever been into Power Rangers at the peak of it’s popularity but I can’t help but be enthused. They have a great diverse cast and a simple premise to make a solid “too young for the MCU but too old for PBS” adventure movie.

I hope Banks says the “After 10,000 years…” line

    • So far she seems like Rita in name only, but we shall see. I would love for the movie to be more Power Rangers-y than the producers have led us to believe.

      • I like that she looks like Natasha Henstrige from SPECIES and I like that she’s green because I have a sneaking suspicion that they will be doing a take on the Evil Green Lantern saga not unlike Kyle Higgins’ surprisingly good comic.
