‘Power Rangers’ Toy Reveals How the Dinozords Form The Megazord

Power Rangers Movie

A new video posted to YouTube by Power Ranger Talk reveals how the new Dinozords toys assemble to form the Megazord giving us our best look yet at how they might come together in the upcoming Power Rangers reboot when they face the giant sized Goldar.

The design of the new Megazord is a major departure from the original but it is right in line aesthetically with the design cues of the new suits for the Rangers. The first Megazord toy that was released for the new film which was the Interactive Megazord left it very much a mystery as to how these new Zords would form the Megazord as it was just one solid figure.

But a new video shows how to join the new Battlezord toys together to form the new Megazord. The Battlezord toys are currently sold separately but you can also purchase the Colossal pack from Toys R Us which comes with complete set of all five of the Rangers’ Dinozords. You can check out the video on how to assemble the Megazord below.

While the design itself is drastically different, the placement of some of the Zords in the Megazord has remained the same. The Red Ranger’s Tyrannosaurus is still the head and chest but it also forms the arms along with the Pink Rangers Pterodactyl which adds a weapon to one of the arms along with a set of wings. The bottom part of the torso which was formerly the Black Rangers Mastodon is now made up of the Yellow Ranger’s Sabretooth Tiger. The Black Ranger’s Mastodon has moved down to the right leg with the Blue Ranger’s Triceratops remaining as the left leg.

The film stars Dacre Montgomery as Jason Lee Scott (Red Ranger), RJ Cyler as Billy Cranston (Blue Ranger), Naomi Scott as Kimberly Hart (Pink Ranger), Becky G as Trini Kwan (Yellow Ranger), Ludi Lin as Zack Taylor (Black Ranger), Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa, Bryan Cranston as Zordon, and Bill Hader as Alpha 5.

Saban’s Power Rangers follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover that they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so they will have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers before it is too late.

Power Rangers hits theaters on March 24, 2017.
