Priyanka Chopra Jonas is in final negotiations to join Keanu Reeves in The Matrix 4.
Over a decade after The Matrix Revolutions seemingly closed out the feature film series, director Lana Wachowski will return to helm a fourth chapter of the franchise with Keanu Reeves reprising his iconic role as Neo. Joining Keanu Reeves in The Matrix 4 is an ensemble cast of newcomers and Variety reports Priyanka Chopra Jonas is in final talks to board the highly-anticipated sequel.
The outlet notes that Priyanka Chopra Jonas would film The Matrix 4 concurrently with her Amazon series titled Citadel. Unfortunately, details on the character Priyanka Chopra Jonas would be playing in The Matrix 4 are currently being kept under wraps.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas made her U.S. television debut on ABC’s Quantico for which she earned a People’s Choice Award in 2016. In addition to her role in Quantico, Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ credits include projects such as Isn’t It Romantic?, Baywatch, The Sky is Pink, and the upcoming Netflix film We Can Be Heroes.

The Matrix and its two sequels collectively earned a total of $1.6 billion at the worldwide box office. Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss portrayed Neo and Trinity, respectively, in all three chapters of the Matrix film series, each of which were directed by Lana and Lilly Wachowski.
Directed by Lana Wachowski from a script she co-wrote with Aleksandar Hemon and David Mitchel, The Matrix 4 stars Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jonathan Groff, Toby Onwumere, Eréndira Ibarra, Neil Patrick Harris, and Jessica Henwick. Production on Keanu Reeves’ The Matrix 4 is reportedly eyeing an early 2020 start date with Lana Wachowski also serving as a producer alongside Grant Hill.
The Matrix 4 is scheduled to be released in theaters on May 21, 2021.
