‘The Punisher’: Showrunner Talks Potential Season 2

The Punisher Frank CastleMarvel’s The Punisher has arrived on Netflix this week, and fans might be wondering if they can expect a second season.

Speaking to EW, showrunner Steve Lightfoot knows fans will want further adventures of Frank Castle, and he for one is all in on bringing more to the screen:

No, I genuinely don’t know how the Netflix system works with making those calls, and I assume once they do [make a call] they’ll tell Marvel and Marvel will tell me and we’ll jump back to it. But I’m very excited to do so. I think we left both Frank and Billy in places where there are so many ways to jump off from if that second season comes. We can do anything with them, in truth.

So while Lightfoot is not privy to the decision making, it is good to see he wants to be back and tell more awesome stories with the set of characters fans have come to love.

For a host of different reasons, some of the world’s most deadly, dastardly villains have had a change of heart and decided to fight as heroes. Whatever side these characters fight for, they have proven time and time again that they are beyond capable of getting what they want, no matter how stacked the odds may be against them.
