The Marvel Cinematic Universe has found its Galactus in Ralph Ineson, who is set to play The Devourer of Worlds in The Fantastic Four.
The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Ralph Ineson will play Galactus in Marvel Studios’ upcoming The Fantastic Four. A British actor with a career spanning three decades, Ineson is known for his roles in the Harry Potter series, The Witch, Game of Thrones, and Chernobyl. Galactus, the antagonist of the film, is an intergalactic being who consumes planets, setting the stage for a monumental clash in the upcoming MCU movie.
Ineson’s casting as Galactus is part of the ongoing preparations for The Fantastic Four, which is scheduled to begin shooting this mid-summer in England. This marks the first appearance of the Fantastic Four under the Marvel Cinematic Universe umbrella, signaling a new direction for the iconic superhero team.
Ralph Ineson’s distinctive deep voice makes him particularly suited for the role of the cosmic entity, who will likely be brought to life with CGI. While Ineson might seem like an unexpected choice for Galactus, especially considering rumors that had linked actors like Antonio Banderas and Javier Bardem to the role, his proven ability to deliver excellent performances makes him a perfect fit for the MCU.
