2017’s Justice Leauge will probably go down in history as one of the most problematic superhero productions in history. Between mid-production course corrections thanks to the mixed reception to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Zack Snyder’s exit and a series of extensive reshoots supervised by Joss Whedon, Justice League had a lot going against it before it was even released. This resulted in a lot of things being cut from the film which apparently included much of the backstory of Ray Fisher’s Cyborg.

Ray Fisher’s Cyborg made his debut in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, with Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman looking over footage of Victor Stone and the rest of the Justice League heroes. Before Batman v Superman was released, Warner Bros. had announced a large number of superhero films that were meant to make up its own superhero cinematic universe. Most of those plans were sadly put to a halt thanks to the mixed reception to Batman v Superman and Justice Leauge underperforming. One of the films that was sadly postponed indefinitely was Ray Fisher’s Cyborg solo film, which would have released this weekend had things gone according to plan.

On his Vero account, Zack Snyder shared a new look at Ray Fisher’s Cyborg with a little description that seemed to sum up the character for him. You can check out the image below.

Here is the official synopsis for Zack Snyder’s Justice League:

Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Directed by Zack Snyder, the film stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.
