Rey sees herself become Kylo Ren in some creepy Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker concept art.
Although The Rise of Skywalker was quite divisive among fans, one moment that seemed to impress many was Rey’s dark force vision while she’s exploring the ruins of the Death Star. It saw the young Jedi confront her potential future as a Palpatine and as a Sith lord. But new concept art reveals that the scene was almost vastly different, even mirroring a previous move in the Skywalker saga.
Artist Adam Brockbank revealed the art on Instagram, which shows Kylo Ren’s helmet disintegrating to show Daisy Ridley’s Rey underneath the intimidating mask. Fans will obviously remember a similar moment in The Empire Strikes Back where Luke faces a version of Darth Vader on Dagobah, only to see himself underneath the helmet. Take a look at the concept art of Rey becoming Kylo Ren below.
What do you think of the potential force vision? Do you think this should’ve made it into the film? Sound off in the comments below!
