During a Cannes press conference, Richard Madden commented on the rumor claiming he will be the next actor to portray James Bond after Daniel Craig.
Daniel Craig is set to make his final appearance as 007 in the 25th James Bond film, but fans are already speculating on who could be actor’s successor even though the next movie is roughly one year away from hitting theaters. One of the rumored contenders for the role of James Bond is Richard Madden, the former Game of Thrones star who is reportedly in talks to join Marvel Studios’ The Eternals.
This very rumor was addressed by Richard Madden when a reporter asked him if it was a “done deal” during a press conference at the Cannes Film Festival. However, Richard Madden said the rumor of him playing James Bond after Daniel Crag is “just talk”:
“It’s very flattering to be involved in that conversation at all but it’s all just talk and I’m sure next week it’ll be someone different.”
