Robbie Amell isn’t the only one who’s made his way back onto the set of The Flash. Rick Cosnett, who played CCPD officer and Iris West’s (Candice Patton) fiance Eddie Thawne, is officially back on set as confirmed by a few Twitter posts made by Patton and Cosnett.

After dying in the season 1 finale, Thawne has been absent from the show ever since, but when you’re dealing with time travel, anything’s possible.
It’s clear from the photos that Cosnett’s former castmates are glad to have him back, and Patton’s photo may be particularly telling about the nature of his return. Jitters, the coffee shop Iris worked at in season 1, can be seen in the background.
A location that hasn’t been featured recently, the setting suggests that we may be seeing Eddie in the form of a flashback, a time-travel related event, or maybe even a latent effect from Flashpoint.
With Cosnett back on set, we shouldn’t have to wait too terribly long to see how Eddie makes his way back to the show.
