Robert Pattinson’s The Batman body gets shown off in new images as the actor prepares to get in shape for the role.

Casting for The Batman is currently underway as the movie is expected to begin production in January 2020. Earlier this week, Zoe Kravitz was officially announced as Catwoman and Jeffrey Wright will also star opposite Robert Pattinson as Commissioner Gordon. When Robert Pattinson was revealed as the next Batman this past May, the actor was about to begin work on Christopher Nolan’s Tenet, so he had no time to get into The Batman shape. However, it appears that Robert Pattinson is currently focusing on getting his Batman body in the perfect shape.

New images give fans a look at how Robert Pattinson’s training for The Batman is coming along. In the images, The Batman star Robert Pattinson is seen exiting a Los Angeles hotel after a meeting.

Plot details for The Batman are currently under wraps, though the film will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and features a Rogue’ Gallery of villains that includes Zoe Kravitz’s Catwoman and the Penguin. The Matt Reeves film will follow Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector and will make use of the Dark Knight’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous DC films. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new trilogy with Robert Pattinson as Batman.

Matt Reeves’ The Batman is one of the many projects currently being developed by Warner Bros. and DC. These projects include The Flash standalone film, Green Lantern Corps, Black Adam, Cyborg, Supergirl, New Gods, and Nightwing.
