New fan art of Robert Pattinson’s Batman showcases him in a costume inspired by the DC Comics storyline Earth One.
Batman: Earth One showcases an alternate, updated version of the superhero’s origin, explaining how his rise to prominence is specifically connected to Oswald Cobblepot, better known as the Penguin. That character seems to be one of the central antagonists of Matt Reeves’s upcoming reimagining of the Batman mythology, and with Robert Pattinson is set to take center stage, fans are wondering if Earth One will be one of the influences of this new story.
New fan art by Instagram user “ultraraw26” shows what Robert Pattinson may look like in a Batman costume heavily influenced by that story, featuring a design for Andy Serkis’ Alfred Pennyworth. You can see artwork with Robert Pattinson’s Batman below.

As it stands, it appears that The Batman, or whatever it may be called, will take more influences from The Long Halloween, which features an assortment of villains all framed for a criminal conspiracy that puts all of Gotham City in danger. Nonetheless, don’t be surprised if other versions of Batman are borrowed from for Robert Pattinson’s take.
We know that The Batman will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and feature a Rogues’ Gallery of villains that reportedly includes Catwoman and The Penguin. Director Matt Reeves has also confirmed that it will not be directly based on Frank Miller’s Year One comic and will make use of Batman’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous DC Comics movies. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new movie trilogy with Robert Pattinson as Batman.
Directed by Matt Reeves, The Batman is set to star Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne / Batman, Jeffrey Wright as Commisioner James “Jim” Gordon, Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle / Catwoman, Paul Dano as Edward Nashton / The Riddler, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone and Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth. Colin Farrell is in negotiations to portray Oswald Cobblepot / The Penguin, and Jayme Lawson has been cast in a role created specifically for the film.
The Batman is set to hit theaters on June 25, 2021. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding Robert Pattinson and the upcoming movie!
