New artwork depicts Twilight alum Robert Pattinson with the classic blue and gray Batsuit for The Batman.
Throughout Batman’s cinematic history, the Dark Knight has donned several variations of the iconic Batsuit. However, aside from Adam West’s Batman, few filmmakers have adopted the blue and gray costume on the silver screen.
Instagram artist “spdrmnkyxxiii” says they have heard the gray and blue color scheme will be used when Robert Pattinson finally suits up as the next Caped Crusader in The Batman. In response, the artist designed this concept that shows off what Robert Pattinson’s gray and blue Batman costume could look like if it’s used for the highly-anticipated movie.

Full plot details for The Batman are being kept under lock and key, though the film will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and feature a Rogues’ Gallery of villains that includes Catwoman, The Penguin, and The Riddler. The Matt Reeves project will follow Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector and will make use of the character’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous DC films. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new trilogy with Robert Pattinson as Batman.
Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, and Paul Dano as the Riddler. Westworld star Jeffrey Wright was recently reported to be in talks for the role of Commissioner James Gordon.
The Batman will be released in theaters on June 25, 2021. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding Robert Pattinson and Batman’s future on the big screen.
