Robert Pattinson Gets Long-Eared Cowl To Replace Ben Affleck As Batman In New Fan Art

Robert Pattinson dons a Batman suti with a long-eared cowl to replace Ben Affleck in new artwork.

Twilight alum Robert Pattinson is officially Ben Affleck’s Batman successor, and we can’t help but imagine how the next incarnation of the DC Comics icon will look like on the big screen. While we don’t have a distinct direction as to where Robert Pattinson’s Batman will go, we do have this artwork that imagines the British actor with a long-eared cowl as he replaces Ben Affleck as the Dark Knight.

A digital artist known as “The Main Man Creation” on Instagram believes that Robert Pattinson’s Batman suit needs a long-eared cowl, something that’s been missing from the live-action Batsuits for some time now. Over on Instagram, the artist crafted a beautiful poster that shows Robert Pattinson with the long-eared cowl, replacing Ben Affleck as Batman.

You can check out the Batman artwork with Robert Pattinson below.

This is one of the most unique pieces of fan art we’ve seen, as it imagines Robert Pattinson’s Batman as a horror symbol. This cowl gives off a certain devilish vibe to the entire suit, resulting in the image being quite terrifying. Ben Affleck’s Batman did have a few scenes in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice which saw the character in a more subdued, horror-esque setting, such as the first scene we saw him in with the cops. It’d be interesting to see Robert Pattinson’s Batman be a bit scarier, especially considering his first movie is supposed to be more detective-focused.

What do you think of the artwork with Robert Pattinson as Ben Affleck’s Batman successor? Sound-off your thoughts in the comments!

We know that The Batman will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and feature a Rogues’ Gallery of villains that reportedly includes Catwoman and The Penguin. Director Matt Reeves has also confirmed that it will not be directly based on Frank Miller’s Year One comic and will make use of Batman’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous DC Comics movies. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new trilogy with Robert Pattinson as Batman.

Directed by Matt Reeves, The Batman is set to star Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, with Jeffrey Wright in negotiations to play Commisioner James “Jim” Gordon. Jonah Hill is also in discussions for what appears to be a supervillain role, but has not yet been confirmed to be a part of the cast.

The Batman is set to hit theaters on June 25, 2021. Stay tuned for the latest news on Ben Affleck, Robert Pattinson and the future of the DC Extended Universe!
