Robert Pattinson dons a Batman: Earth One-inspired Batsuit in this cool artwork that shows him replacing Ben Affleck as the Dark Knight.

With Ben Affleck out of the DC Extended Universe as Batman, fans have been excited to see Robert Pattinson’s take on the iconic DC Comics hero. Robert Pattinson is set to make his debut as the Caped Cursader in Matt Reeves’ The Batman, but details surrounding the movie are slim to none. We do know that the movie will be set in Batman’s early years, but we’re not exactly sure what kind of suit Robert Pattinson will be rocking in his first cinematic solo outing as the character. Ben Affleck’s Batman suit was sleek and fabric-based, with a huge bat-logo strapped across it. Ben Affleck’s Batman also had a mech-based suit which he used to fight Superman.

Fans have been clamouring to get as much information as they can on Robert Pattinson’s Batman suit but since they’re so null, a fan took it upon himself to show us what it could look like. Digital artist William Gray took to his official Instagram page to share artwork that imagines Robert Pattinson in a Batman suit directly inspired by Earth One. You can see Robert Pattinson replacing Ben Affleck as Batman in the Earth One artwork below.

The Earth One suit depicted here does take a few cues from Ben Affleck’s Batman, but the logo is clearly different. The logo is one of the most original symbols that Batman has had, and it’s one that we haven’t seen on the big screen Michael Keaton’s Batman. No one knows what Robert Pattinson will be rocking in The Batman except him and the crew, but if he’s going to be donning the Earth One suit, we’re all certainly in for a treat!

Full plot details for The Batman are currently under wraps, though the film will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and feature a Rogues’ Gallery of villains that includes Catwoman, The Penguin, and The Riddler. The Matt Reeves film will follow Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector and will make use of the Dark Knight’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous DC films. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new trilogy with Robert Pattinson as Batman.

Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, and Paul Dano as the Riddler.

The Batman will be released in theaters on June 25, 2021. Stay tuned for future updates regarding Ben Affleck, Robert Pattinson and the upcoming movie!
