Fan Transforms ‘The Batman’ Star Robert Pattinson Into Green Lantern

The Batman star Robert Pattinson transforms into Green Lantern in an awesome new edit.

Last year, fans everywhere were shocked to hear that Robert Pattinson had been cast as Bruce Wayne in the next Batman movie that is being directed by Matt Reeves. The character was most recently played by Ben Affleck, who was originally set to write, direct and star in The Batman before he departed the film to focus on his health. However, it seems that some artists have another role in mind for The Batman star Robert Pattinson.

The Green Lantern franchise has sadly not had the best luck in live-action. The 2011 Green Lantern film with Ryan Reynolds was a critical and financial flop. Since then, Warner Bros. hasn’t moved forward with another Green Lantern film. A Green Lantern Corps film was originally in development with Man of Steel writer David S. Goyer, until Geoff Johns took over the script. In addition, Arrowverse veteran Greg Berlanti is developing a Green Lantern series for the upcoming Warner Bros. streaming service HBO Max.

It seems that some would like to see The Batman star Robert Pattinson suit up as Green Lantern in one of those projects. Recently, Instagram user “awedope.arts” shared a really cool edit that imagines Robert Pattinson as the Hal Jordan version of Green Lantern, with the actor wearing the iconic green costume of the DC Comics hero. Drop down to see Robert Pattinson as Green Lantern below.

What do you all make of this edit of Robert Pattinson as Green Lantern? Would you have preferred to see Robert Pattinson as Green Lantern instead of Batman? Drop your thoughts in the comments section below!

Full plot details on The Batman are currently under wraps, though the Robert Pattinson film will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and feature a Rogues’ Gallery of villains that includes Catwoman, The Penguin, and The Riddler. The Matt Reeves film will follow Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector and will make use of the Dark Knight’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous DC films. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new movie trilogy with Robert Pattinson’s Batman.

Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.

The Batman is set to hit theaters on June 25, 2021. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the Robert Pattinson movie.
