New photos from the set of Robert Pattinson’s The Batman reveal a Halloween setting for the highly-anticipated movie.

With production on The Batman currently underway in the United Kingdom, photos from the sets and locations for the Robert Pattinson film have been surfacing online. Now, the latest set snaps reveal that at least a portion of Robert Pattinson’s The Batman will take place during Halloween.

The photos in question reveal that a set is being constructed for Robert Pattinson’s The Batman, but it is Jack-o’-lanterns placed near the bottom of the steps of the set that confirm the Halloween setting. Of course, fans might immediately bring the Batman comic book series titled The Long Halloween to mind, which centered on the Caped Crusader’s early crime-fighting days and reportedly serves as the inspiration for the Robert Pattinson movie.

Full plot details on The Batman are currently under wraps, though the film will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and feature a Rogues’ Gallery of villains that includes Catwoman, The Penguin, and The Riddler. The Matt Reeves film will follow Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector and will make use of the Dark Knight’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous DC films. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new trilogy from Warner Bros. with Robert Pattinson as Batman.

Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.

The Batman will be released in theaters on June 25, 2021. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the Robert Pattinson movie.
