Warner Bros. and DC Films officially unveiled the new trailer for the Robert Pattinson-led The Batman at their second annual DC FanDome event.
It’s been over a year since the first trailer for The Batman made its debut at the first DC FanDome event and fans have been waiting to see more of Robert Pattinson as the latest Caped Crusader. If you were dying for more from The Batman, we definitely have the remedy for you. Today, Warner Bros. and DC Films released the second trailer for The Batman and you can check it out below.
The trailer opens with what looks to be Paul Dano’s Edward Nygma in a diner being apprehended by James Gordon (played by Jeffrey Wright) and the Gotham City Police Department. We get to see flashes of director Matt Reeves’ Gotham city and it looks pretty epic. The Batman trailer also gives us our first look at Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle and reveals how the iconic character is set to interact with Robert Pattinson’s Dark Knight. The sneak peek does its part in introducing us to a fresh Gotham City, all the while giving us a taste of Batman’s hunt to take down The Riddler.
The plot of The Batman is being kept under lock and key, but we know the film will follow Robert Pattinson as a younger version of Bruce Wayne, chronicling Batman during his second year as the Dark Knight of Gotham City. The film will also show off the hero using his skills as a detective more than what we’ve seen before in previous versions of the hero. It is also expected to be the first installment in a new trilogy of films with Pattinson.
Directed by Matt Reeves, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson as the titular hero, Zoe Kravitz as Selina Kyle, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.
The Batman will hit theaters on March 4, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news coming straight out of DC FanDome tomorrow, and be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
