The Rock Say’s Black Adam v Superman Won’t Happen Until Sequel

With Batman v Superman slowly disappearing from the public eye and being removed from certain theaters. Leaving DC fans looking to the future of the DC Extended Universe. Sure, we just got an awesome trailer for Suicide Squad. But, that doesn’t come out until this August. After Suicide Squad we have to wait a year for the next film. Wonder Woman, Justice League, The Flash and Aquaman all come out within the next two years. We’ve received plenty of news regarding those films over the past few months. But, we haven’t really received any news about films happening after that.

Slated on the DC schedule from 2019-2020, Shazam, Justice League: Part 2, Cyborg and Green Lantern Corps are the films we know the least about. Shazam is one of the main films where the excitement has been high and the news front has been really low. The only updates received were that Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson was playing Black Adam and the script was being developed by Darren Lemke.

The Rock has been promoting DC/Black Adam heavily lately. His charisma for the company and character shined most during the MTV Movie Awards. He threw shade at Marvel actors, including Chris Pratt and Chris Evans. He even donned a Superman costume and Black Adam t-shirt and screamed Black Adam is coming.

When asked by a fan on Twitter, if he would be ecstatic to fight Superman, The Rock replied:

Won’t happen in the first movie, but nothing would make me happier. He’s got it comin’. #BlackAdamVsSuperman #Shazam

What do you guys think? Would you watch a film with The Rock in Battle with Superman as Black Adam? Sound off in the comments section.

The next DC Film Suicide Squad hits theaters August 5th, 2016 and you can catch Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson in Shazam! Which is slated to hit theaters on April 5th, 2019!
