The first Star Wars anthology film is set to hit theatres everywhere next week. Yes, next week. As in 7 days away. 168 hours. 10,080 minutes. You get it? In preparation for the anticipated release, ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!, a favourite around these parts, welcomed the Rogue One cast and director on the show. The Star Wars special included appearances from Felicity Jones, Riz Ahmed, Donnie Yen, Ben Mendelsohn and many more. Of course, as the movie is releasing so damn soon, the crew had to keep shut on some of the best secrets from the new film. However, Kimmel was able to get some juicy details out of them, specifically Donnie Yen, who went on to reveal… the first line he speaks from the movie. Do you think Disney will let him get away with that one? I wouldn’t put money on it.
Jokes aside, you can check out a bunch of videos from the show below, including the badass entry the cast and director, Gareth Edwards, made after descending from an X-Wing:
Below, you will see Donnie Yen discuss his transition from films in Hong Kong to Star Wars. As well as revealing his very first line from Rogue One:
Firefly star Alan Tudyk then discusses his performance in the film as the loveable K-2SO, while Rogue One baddie, Ben Mendelsohn talks his badass costume:
While debuting a new clip from the film, the cast and director also revealed what they stole from the Rogue One set, while Mads Mikkelsen discusses the difference between Marvel and Star Wars fans:
Following a commercial break, the film’s director, Gareth Edwards, went on to discuss the film in heavy detail revealing some unique components:
Amidst the debut of another new clip, the Rogue One cast reveal the sheer excitement they all have going into the premieres of the upcoming film:
And just like that, the show was over. Well, what do you guys think? Are you all excited for the upcoming release? Are you keen to see just how the Rebels got those plans? What is Darth Vader’s role? Is there any more iconic cameos in the movie? Until December 16th, we will just have to wait.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits theatres everywhere on December 16.
