‘Rogue One’: First Preview Of Michael Giacchino’s Score

Listen to a preview of Michael Giacchino's score for 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story', the first film in the franchise without composer John Williams.

The Star Wars saga has offered some of cinemas most memorable and enduring scores, courtesy of composer John Williams. However, when Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is released in theaters next week, it will not only be the first film in the franchise without a soundtrack from the incomparable maestro, but it will reportedly feature very little of the classic Star Wars themes. This has prompted fans to wonder just what Michael Giacchino, who took over from Alexandre Desplat following a change in the post-production schedule, has in store for the films soundtrack. Now, Entertainment Weekly has unveiled a sneak peak of two tracks from Rogue One.

EW released a behind-the-scenes video of a scoring session for Rogue One featuring Giacchino and director Gareth Edwards. The video includes a sample of two tracks from the film titled “Her Path is Clear” and “Approach to Eadu”. You can check out the video below!
