‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ Finishes Domestic Run With $530M+

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the first ever Star Wars spin-off from Lucasfilm has finished it's domestic run with a total of $532.2 million.

The film directed by Gareth Edwards managed to take $155 million in its opening becoming the second highest opening as well as going on to become the second-highest grossing film in the franchise. Star Wars: The Force Awakens sits comfortably at the number one spot with a whopping $247 million opening and $936 million at the domestic box office.

Rogue One managed to break past the $1 billion mark worldwide just a month after its release and Lucasfilm is set to continue dominating the box office during the Holiday season once again when it releases Star Wars: The Last Jedi on December 15, 2017.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Mads Mikkelson, Donnie Yen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, Jiang Wen and Forest Whitaker. Here’s the official synopsis:
