Former-Batwoman star Ruby Rose recently revealed if she’d ever return to The CW series to reprise Kate Kane again.
Fans of The CWverse were shocked last year when Ruby Rose announced that she was leaving Batwoman, later explaining that leading a superhero show is tough, even more so after having major back surgery due to an accident when filming a stunt on the series. Thankfully, the writers found a great way of continuing the story, with Javicia Leslie jumping onboard as an entirely new character, Ryan Wilder. But could we see Wilder and Kate Kane team-up in the future? Well, according to Ruby Rose, it’s not impossible.
When speaking to ComicBookMovie, Ruby Rose revealed that she would “totally” return to play Kate Kane in Batwoman. However, she pointed out that it wouldn’t exactly serve the story, because a new Batwoman is the focus point of the story and bringing Kate back might ruin that. But she explained “of course” she’d come back, before praising Javicia Leslie’s performance in the show. Take a look below.
“I mean, I’m obviously moving on to other roles as I think I’ve done about three films since. I would totally do it. I don’t think it would serve the story because I think building the new Batwoman is more important than going back too far into Kate Kane, but of course I would, I would absolutely do anything they wanted as far as that. I haven’t watched the whole thing, but I’ve watched a couple of episodes, and I think how they’re handling it is beautiful. I think it’s her time to shine.”
