The first synopsis for the second season of Batwoman starring Ruby Rose has been revealed.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that The CW’s Arrowverse shows, including Batwoman, wouldn’t be returning until 2021. This news, while disappointing, seemed to have been a given as the coronavirus pandemic has ravaged across the world, causing numerous facets of the entertainment industry to shut down. Just like The Flash, Ruby Rose’s Batwoman has no choice but to end prematurely as the coronavirus has caused production on both shows to go on pause.
With the first season of the hit DC show ending early, The CW has released the first synopsis for Ruby Rose’s second season of Batwoman to give fans a hint at what’s next. You can check it out below.
Season two kicks off with a major game-changer that will alter Gotham and The Bat Team forever. As the dust settles, Batwoman has everything working against her – including the recently escaped rogues’ gallery of villains – and everyone will come to see her in a whole new light. Alice meets her match when she becomes entangled with a dangerous foe from her past who knows exactly how to prey on her vulnerabilities. As Luke (Camrus Johnson) and Mary (Nicole Kang) find their footing as sidekicks, a romance will shake up their dynamic. Meanwhile, Sophie (Megan Tandy) and Julia’s (guest star Christina Wolfe) budding relationship will face its first real test and make Sophie question everything she thought she knew to be true.
The Batwoman plot synopsis does a great job of keeping the mystery but giving us just enough information to get us excited! For example, what major game-changer has altered Gotham and the Bat Team? It seems moot to speculate as the second season is quite a bit of ways away, but it’s still great that we know what direction the Ruby Rose show will be going in!

Here’s the synopsis for the season finale of Batwoman “O, MOUSE!”:
“O, MOUSE!” – When one of Gotham’s former heroes returns to his old stomping grounds to settle a score, both Batwoman (Ruby Rose) and Commander Kane (Dougray Scott) find themselves on the defensive. Meanwhile, Alice (Rachel Skarsten) has uncovered what could finally take down Batwoman, but she is losing hold on her henchman Mouse (guest star Sam Littlefield) and Hush (guest star Gabriel Mann), sending her spiraling into her most wicked self. Luke (Camrus Johnson) immediately focuses on finding a way to protect Batwoman from Alice, and Mary (Nicole Kang) has a chance to be the sister Kate has needed all along. New information surfaces, forcing Julia (guest star Christina Wolfe) to warn Sophie (Meagan Tandy) about the person pulling the strings. And in a final standoff, when Commander Kane refuses to retreat from his war on Batwoman, Kate may find herself more than heartbroken by her father’s choices. Amanda Tapping directed the episode written by Holly Henderson and Don Whitehead (#120).
