We’re only a few short months away from the release of the highly-anticipated Captain America: Civil War and fans are eagerly waiting to see Tom Holland join the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the new live-action incarnation of Spider-Man. But if you can’t wait and want to know just how the character will join the MCU, we might have some new details regarding that. Geek.com is reporting that they have the inside scoop on that and we’re going to share that with you here but be warned: there are spoilers below.

“It appears that Tony Stark, ever one to keep a watchful eye on the who’s who of the super world, took note of a certain young genius and his superhuman abilities, which makes sense, given all the SHIELD files he had access to. He’s probably been keeping tabs on Peter Parker since he first started his career as a vigilante.”

It’s worth noting that at this time, the character has been active for a year and has been noticed by others as seen by the line at the end of Ant-Man. The site reports that their sources have told them that Stark goes specifically to the character to recruit him and offers him a new suit. That second part lines up with rumors that have been floating around for awhile now regarding Stark giving Peter an upgraded suit.

But why would Spider-Man accept the offer? Easy. Peter Parker would be five years old at the time of the first Iron Man and has grown up idolizing Tony Stark. And who would turn down your idol showing up with a gift? Exactly. So, what do you think about this? Is this a scene you’re excited to see? Not buying it? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
