RUMOR: The Villain For ’Justice League’ Revealed

Justice League

The DC Extended Universe has kicked off since the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the second film in the DC franchise which will be followed by David Ayer’s Suicide Squad when it comes out on August 5 and then Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman which comes out next summer. But next year is also going to feature the assembling of DC’s Justice League as Zack Snyder is currently shooting Justice League: Part 1 in London. While we know many of the heroes that will be showing up in the film, we have yet to learn who the actual big bad is going to be, however a new rumor may have given us some insight to who it could be.

Devin Faraci of Birth Movies Death is reporting that Darkseid is in fact not the big villain that the Justice League is going up against as it will be someone that was featured in a deleted scene of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. According to Faraci, we will be seeing Steppenwolf facing the titans of the DC Universe in the first Justice League film. He also goes on to say that while Darkseid is in the film at the end, but isn’t expected to have a large role until Justice League: Part 2 perhaps. You can check out that deleted scene with Steppenwolf below and make sure to let us know in the comments below what you think of this rumor!

Justice League: Part One, starring Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Victor Stone/Cyborg, Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner James Gordon and Willem Dafoe,  opens in theaters on November 17, 2017.

This doesn’t make sense. For one D%v!n Farce is ALWAYS wrong on rumors. And also Steppenwolf is not an iconic enough villain … even in comics he just extends the lore of Darkseid and makes him a more robust archvillain. Also he has served as the source of Shazam! ‘s powers recently.
It is possible, but I’m selling this one.

    • David Japhet-Mathias

That was Yuga Khan not Steppenwolf

    • Kelly

He doesn’t have to be iconic to be used as a villain.
Also, rarely does Darkseid approach Earth before sending his agents to seed the place first.
We know New Gods have been on Earth because the U.S. government has a Mother Box.

  • Sugam Kher

The beast in the communion video doesn’t even look like steppenwolf! That’s probably Yuga Khan… Although it is possible… Would be fun.

    • LupeX

exactly it’s actually Yuga Khan! Daaaamn, D%v!n Farce back at it again lol

  • Napi

Devin Faraci? More like Devin Fallacy…

    • LupeX

Devin Farce, D%v!n F**** take you pick lol

  • Alex Paige

    Interesting We’ll see what happens

  • Marquis de Sade

Rumor has it, WB/DCEU in a bid to ensure a better b.o. performance, has commissioned Kanye West to do a HIP HOP infused version of BORN TO BE WILD in order to reach out to the edgier (less stodgy) dc fangurl demographic.

    • Investigatin Detective

Then they’ll claim that DC has always had more hip hop than other comics.

  • CAPS LOCK ON

THAT IS NOT A STEPPENWOLF ! IT´S A DARKSEIDS FATHER.

  • JNAZ

This article lost me at Devin Fartsy.

  • Devin Fookaracci does not know crap, how could you use someone’s source as fact, its not even a rumor the dude has a site only for click bait. Shame on you Heroic Hollywood for putting this piece of crap info on your site.

I call bs. Theres a bunch of solo films between jl 1 and jl 2. Is darkseid just going to show up and wait for their solo films to unfold and then fight once they’ve all come back together? Steppenwolf might show up again as a cameo to further hint darkseid is coming but I doubt he’s the main villain.

    • Carl

Do you really think that Snyder and WB have thought this out that well?

      • henryducard

Do you really think they’re the only ones thinking it out at this point?

        • Carl

Well, JL is already filming so I don’t think they were able to make any big changes after BvS.

    • having Steppen doesn’t mean Darkseid is with him. Steppen could be sent as a scout ahead of DS.
That being said, I too am skeptical that they’re bringing in any DS members this soon. I’d much rather Mongol right now.

      • henryducard

I liked the idea of the jl dealing with Atlantis and having orm betray aquaman and possibly losing his hand and getting the wild harpoon hand or the magic water hand either one would be rad. I agree anything darksied this quick would be awkward. They should have hints towards it in each films leading up to jl 2

  • Carl

It probably is Steppenwolf, maybe Yuga Khan. They both have crazy horn helmets. I think it’ll end up being Steppenwolf though because I don’t see them writing Darkseid’s father into the story.

How about they do this too? They love killing in the DCEU.

I don’t know what your problem is, but I bet it’s hard to pronounce.

      • JMMagwood

He’s just a goof, but far from the worst around here.

      • Carl

You think it’s hard to pronounce “intelligent”? That’s my only problem when it comes to enjoying BvS or MoS, I’m smarter than its creators.

        • flavortang

          Dunning-Kruger Effect in action, folks.

          • Whyte Lyon

Yeah intentionally or unintentionally, his statement was obviously a more or less clickbait no matter which way you look at it. IDK if its just me but it smelled of desperation and self-pride.

          • Carl

            See my comment, you’re wrong.

          • Carl

Had to look that up so I learned something. Either way that effect doesn’t apply.

I didn’t say I could make a better movie. I said I’m smarter than its creators.

See you failed to recognize that I’m making a comment about the poor quality of the film. It does seem as though Zack Snyder suffers from this Dunning-Krueger effect.

  • I’d still much rather Mongol and his Planet for JL part 1, but that’s just me.

  • karloff_fan

Since Justice League is a two-part movie, it makes sense that it would open with Steppenwolf and close with Darkseid for the big finale. I’m there opening weekend regardless.

  • JMMagwood

Faraci sure is coming with a lot of DC “scoops” lately. I guess site visitation must be down.

  • w0undedmagic

HAHAHA More BADASS DIGEST “scoops” aye?
