The runtime for the upcoming film Marvel Cinematic Universe film, Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings has been revealed.
The state of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is one that seems to be in constant flux. Due in no small part to the Covid-19 pandemic, the release order for the various Marvel films and series has been shifted and reworked over the past year and a half. Since the release of WandaVision on Disney Plus, the people behind these properties seem determined to get the series back on track with releases which includes theatrical films.
Despite Black Widow performing relatively low at the box-office, Shang-Chi is still maintaining its release date and the Marvel Cinematic Universe machine doesn’t seem interested in slowing down. Now we have an idea as to how long the upcoming film will be. According to Cinemark Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings will be about as long as the average Marvel film. The website has the upcoming movie listed at a 2 hour and 12-minute runtime. Whether or not the film will be a hit at the boxoffice however, remains to be seen.
Here is the synopsis for Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings:
“Simu Liu stars as Shang-Chi in Marvel Studios’ Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings. Shang-Chi must confront the past he thought he left behind when he is drawn into the web of the mysterious Ten Rings organization.”
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a script written by David Callaham, the Marvel film stars Simu Liu, Awkwafina, Tony Leung, Ronny Chieng, and Dallas Liu. The upcoming film will hit theaters on September 3, 2021.
