‘Rush Hour’ Stars Jackie Chan & Chris Tucker Tease Fourth Installment

Buddy-Cop sequels are making a big comeback with Bad Boys For Life and the now confirmed Rush Hour 4, thanks to a tease from stars Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker.

Posted on actor Chris Tucker’s Instagram page over the weekend, he and former Rush Hour costar, Jackie Chan, are shown throwing up four fingers. This would seemingly confirm the fourth film in the now 21-year-old franchise, even though there hasn’t been an official confirmation from the studio.

The duo have remained good friends since the last entry in the franchise nearly twelve years ago, but this is the first post to really give any indication a sequel is in the works. Back in January, Chris Tucker teased on the Winging It Podcast that the sequel was going to happen.

“We’re working on a few things on the script right now, so we’re trying to get into production. But we’re working on it and trying to get it going…. Jackie Chan wants to do it, I want to do it, [the] studio wants to do it, so we’re trying to get it together.”

The film could have a fresh new take on the characters since the studio and former Rush Hour director, Bret Ratner have severed ties after Ratner was hit with several sexual assault allegations. Ratner had previously stated the studio wouldn’t make a fourth film in the franchise back in 2001, but seeing as he’s out of the picture, it appears to be moving ahead just fine.
