Ryan Reynolds Gives Toilet Paper For Anniversary Of ‘Deadpool’

To celebrate the anniversary of the release of "Deadpool," Ryan Reynolds posted an interesting gift to the Merc with a Mouth.

One year ago Deadpool struck a chord with fans everywhere as audiences grew to love the “Merc With A Mouth.” To celebrate the Anniversary, Ryan Reynolds posted on Instagram and decided to go the old fashion way and give a paper gift…but with a twist.

One year ago today, we released Deadpool. And the gift for a one year anniversary, is of course, paper.

Traditionally, after the first year of marriage, spouses will celebrate by giving each other handmade gifts, thus naming the first anniversary the “paper anniversary.” Reynolds obviously loves Deadpool very much to give him such a great present! I mean, that toilet tissue cannot be cheap.

Last year, Deadpool released to critical and commercial success becoming the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time with an earning of $783 million globally. Although it did not get an Oscar nomination, the Golden Globes did give a nod to the film with two nominations: Best Comedy or Musical and Best Actor for a Comedy or Musical.

Unfortunately, Tim Miller will not be reprising his directorial duties, but John Wick co-director David Leitch should make for a fine replacement. Deadpool 2 has no release date, but it is expected to arrive early next year.

Would you have accepted such an expensive gift? It sure seems like the love is going strong between Reynolds and his favorite character. Keep checking Heroic Hollywood for anything and everything concerning Deadpool (and toilet paper)!
