Ryan Reynolds’ ‘Deadpool’ Celebrates Its 4-Year Anniversary

Four years ago today, 20th Century Fox released Deadpool to theaters across the world and the Ryan Reynolds project would go on to become one of the highest-grossing R-rated films in history. Now, The official Deadpool Twitter is celebrate the 4-year anniversary and requesting an appropriate gift to mark the occasion.

The post notes that the traditional 4-year anniversary gift is fruit and therefore requested that fans send avocados to the team behind Deadpool. As fans may remember, Deadpool features a scene in which T. J. Miller’s Weasel reacts to the disfigured face of Ryan Reynolds’ Wade Wilson by saying, “you look like an avocado had sex with an older, more disgusting avocado.”

Ryan Reynolds has confirmed that he is working on a Deadpool sequel with Marvel Studios. However, there has been no official word on where Ryan Reynolds’ third Deadpool film might fit into Marvel Studios’ Phase 4 or 5 line-ups.
