Ryan Reynolds Shares His ‘Logan’ Anniversary Gift For Hugh Jackman

To celebrate the three-year anniversary of Logan, Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds shared his hilarious gift for Hugh Jackman.

Its been three-years since Logan hit theaters. The anniversary is not only notable because Logan is among the greatest comic book movies of all-time, but because it also marked Hugh Jackman’s last performance as Wolverine after a decade-plus of films. Despite Hugh Jackman stepping away from the Wolverine role, Ryan Reynolds hasn’t stoped spreading his desire to do a Deadpool/Wolverine crossover movie. Of course, the two did appear in together in X-Men Origins: Wolverine back in 2009, but it would be great to see them both on screen together again with a more accurate version of Deadpool.

Deadpool 2 also featured a few nods to Logan. The most notable comes at the end of the film, but we also see a dead Logan figure at the beginning as well. To celebrate Logan‘s three-year anniversary, Ryan Reynolds made a joke Instagram about giving Hugh Jackman that same dead Wolverine statue from Deadpool 2 as a present. You can see Ryan Reynolds’ post and Hugh Jackman’s response below.

While Hugh Jackman’s days as Wolverine are over, Ryan Reynolds is expected to return as Deadpool once again. A third film is currently in the works at Marvel Studios now that Disney has regained the rights to the X-Men characters after the Fox merger.
