Sarah Shahi May Have Revealed Her Role In Dwayne Johnson’s ‘Black Adam’

Black Adam star Sarah Shahi has seemingly revealed which DC hero she’ll play in the upcoming film opposite Dwayne Johnson.

It’s been a long time coming, but production has finally kicked off on Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam movie, and he’ll be joined by an impressive cast with the likes of Pierce Brosnan’s Doctor Fate and Noah Centineo’s Atom Smasher among the ranks of the Justice Society of America. But there’s been one star who fans have heavily speculated over who they’ll be playing, and that actress is Sarah Shahi. Now, the Person of Interest actress has seemingly revealed her role in the film.

Sarah Shahi took to her Instagram stories to celebrate her first day of filming on the Dwayne Johnson film, explaining that she’s proud to play “Adrianna” in Black Adam. It seems likely that she’ll be playing Adrianna Tomaz A.K.A. Black Adam’s bride, Isis. When Shahi teased her preparation for the role, the comics she was reading featured the 52 series where Adrianna Tomaz helps teach Black Adam how to use his powers to help Kahndaq before getting abilities of her own. “Today is my first day filming #blackadam. I was cast in this role a year ago. I’ve had ups, downs, lefts and rights. They all led me here. Very proud to represent my fellow middle eastern brothers and sisters as Adrianna. Let’s continue to lift each other up as we tell each other’s stories. Human stories. Connecting stories. Stories we all have inside of us.”

In addition to Dwayne Johnson, Black Adam also stars Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone and Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate. Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, James Cusati-Moyer and Bodhi Sabongui are also on board in undisclosed roles.

Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia of Seven Bucks Productions are producing the Black Adam movie with Beau Flynn of FlynnPictureCo. FlynnPictureCo’s Scott Sheldon serves as an executive producer.
