A new set photo from DC’s The Flash gives fans the first look at Sasha Calle’s Supergirl cape.

The Flash is set to be one of DC’s most explosive entries thanks to the sheer number of characters it’ll have. Set to adapt the iconic Flashpoint storyline, the speedster’s solo film will see Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton returning as their respective versions of Batman and Sasha Calle debuting as Supergirl. While the exploration of the DC Universe multiverse is expected, details are currently unknown as to how the solo film will tackle the unique, cosmic aspect of the comics. It’s also currently unknown how Keaton’s Batman and Calle’s Supergirl will factor into Barry Allen’s journey to fix the mess of a timeline he likely created.

What is known, however, is that Sasha Calle’s Supergirl has a cape. A set video from earlier (of which you can see a still below) failed to show the character rocking a cape, which would be a first for the immensely popular character. However, those thoughts of Calle’s Supergirl being some weird, capeless Kryptonian who rejects the traditional suit can be put to rest. A new set photo shows the actor suited up with a cape on the set of The Flash.

Directed by Andy Muschietti from a script written by Birds of Prey scribe Christina Hodson, The Flash will be inspired by the Flashpoint comic storyline, which followed The Flash as he navigated an altered DC Universe. Written by Geoff Johns and penciled by Andy Kuber, Flashpoint radically altered the status of the DC Comics universe and led to the launch of the New 52 titles. It is currently unknown how much inspiration the upcoming Ezra Miller film will take from the comic.

The Flash is set to hit theaters on June 3, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news regarding the future of the DC Extended Universe, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more exclusive video content!
