Scarlett Johansson called Black Widow a standalone franchise with co-star Florence Pugh.
Scarlett Johansson’s upcoming Black Widow film was one of the many affected by the coronavirus. Originally the film was going to be released in May of 2020 but was delayed until November. Currently, it is unknown whether or not the upcoming movie will be a standalone film or the start of an ongoing franchise but star Scarlett Johansson may have accidentally revealed the answer to this question.
Recently, a portion of an interview with Scarlett Johansson regarding the upcoming Marvel movie emerged where she called the film a standalone franchise and praised co-star Florence Pugh:
“I am very excited about Florence Pugh. She is my co-star in the Black Widow standalone franchise, and I’m, you know, like learning from her.”
