With her latest film Ghost In The Shell hitting theaters this week, Scarlett Johansson has been busy promoting the anime remake. This week, she appeared on MTVโs Happy Sad Confused podcast, and she was asked questions regarding her upcoming role in Avenger: Infinity War.
During the interview, she confirmed that her character, Black Widow, would be meeting the Guardians of the Galaxy crew. While that fact was a given, considering Infinity Warย would see almost every character in the MCU meeting, itโs nice to know that we have a confirmation. Beyond that, Johansson spoke on what her characterย would think when she met them.
โSomebody said to me the other day, they were like, โIs Black Widow ready for the Guardians of the Galaxy?โ The last time aliens descended on New York I think my character was like, โAlright, Iโve seen it all. Iโm good.โ So I donโt even think like a talking tree will faze her at this point.โ
Being that Groot is a national treasure at this point, itโs going to be great to see him speak with other members of the Avengers.
โAs long as it feels true to me, then this conversation with another character is fine, even if itโs a tree.โ
Johansson later spoke on how the universe has changed since her debut back in Iron Man 2.
โBut certainly, reading the script, the universe has expanded to a point where it justโฆ itโs like incomprehensible at this point Iโm just like, โOkay, this is all happening,โโ
Scarlett Johansson will next be seen in Anthony and Joe Russoโs Avengers: Infinity War. The film also stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Josh Brolin, Samuel L. Jackson, and other members of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Avengers: Infinity Warย hits theaters on May 4, 2018.
