Scarlett Johansson Teases More Than 30 Characters In An ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Scene

Scarlett Johansson Infinity War

With all the characters that have made appeared across the fifteen films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far, it’s hard to imagine how Avengers: Infinity War will make room for all of them at once. Besides the Avengers themselves, Infinity War will see the likes of the Guardians of the Galaxy, Black Panther, Spider-Man, Ant-Man, Doctor Strange, and more.

Appearing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Scarlett Johansson, who has played Black Widow since Iron Man 2, was reluctant at first to say anything specific about the next Avengers movie. However, she eventually mentioned that there’s a scene in Infinity War that has at least thirty-plus characters.

“Alright.  I’m in it [and] at one point, I do think that the Infinity Wars – there are 61 or 62 marvel characters in it.  There’s a lot. In one particular scene, I think there’s 32- there’s a lot.  There’s so many of us.  I don’t even know who’s a Marvel character and who’s a crew member, honestly.”

You can watch the clip of Johansson below.

It’s remarkable that the scene is able to have that many characters, although how they’re all going to interact is anyone’s guess. The MCU characters will be teaming up to most likely take on Thanos and will definitely have the infinity stones plot take center stage.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautisa, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Pom Klementieff, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Holland, Sebastian Stan, Chadwick Boseman, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Benedict Wong, Tom Hiddleston, Tessa Thompson, Benicio Del Toro and Josh Brolin.

As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on May 4, 2018.

Yeah, Infinity War is gon’ be the new TEMPLATE by which all subsequent cinematic epics will be measured!

Be still, my beating heart…The only appropriate word to describe this will be “EPIC”.

That’s awesome. Because as everyone has always agreed, the more characters you can cram into a movie, the better. I’m sure they’ll all get solo introductory movies first, though… that’s still a thing right?
