Upon the conclusion of Dark Nights: Metal and its follow-up miniseries No Justice, Scott Snyder will take over the main Justice League series.

Earlier today it was revealed that DC Comics is planning a shakeup of its Justice League creative teams. Upon the conclusion of Metal, Batman scribes Scott Snyder, Joshua Williamson and James Tynion III and artist Francis Manapul will be creating a new Justice League miniseries titled Justice League: No Justice. Upon its conclusion, Scott Snyder is set to take over the main Justice League series with Tynion and Williamson assigned to as of yet revealed series.

In a statement made by artists Francis Manapul, he described it as one of the biggest actions of his life:

“I’m laying out the biggest action of my life. The Justice League realizes that they need to expand their reach to become something bigger than they have ever been before. If you thought my work for Justice League: Darkseid War was huge, I’m taking the League to the edge of the cosmos with ‘No Justice.’ Anyone who has asked for Harley Quinn, Martian Manhunter, Starfire, Zatanna, The Atom, Raven, or Doctor Fate to be in their personal Justice League will stand up and cheer.”

The setup for the miniseries finds Brainiac warning the Justice League of an incoming threat, poised to destroy Earth. Knowing that the League’s might alone is not enough to defeat this threat, heroes must team up with villains and travel to different planets in order to secure everyone’s future.

The current Justice League creative team is set to depart the book upon the conclusion of Issue #43 with Scott Snyder taking over after their departure. Dark Night: Metal is set to conclude on March 14th with it’s 6th issues and the first issue of Justice League: No Justice is set for release on May 9th.
