Sean Gunn Teases Kraglin’s Return In The Marvel Cinematic Universe

Kraglin Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel Sean Gunn

With Avengers: Infinity War being the culmination of everything that’s been built up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Russo Brothers definitely had a lot to juggle when it came to both that and next year’s Avengers 4, but not every character realistically could be present. Such is the case of Sean Gunn’s Kraglin from the Guardians of the Galaxy films. Whether Kraglin ultimately returns in either Avengers 4 or Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 remains to be seen, but Sean Gunn did have a bit to say about the whereabouts of Kraglin.

After all, at the end of the second Guardians film, Kraglin was still getting the hang of Yondu’s Yakka arrow. Fast forward to Infinity War and Kraglin is nowhere to be seen alongside the Guardians. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that Kraglin’s story in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is over. In a recent interview with Tulsa World, Sean Gunn indicated that there is indeed more of Kraglin’s story to tell, which pretty much indicates that he survived Thanos’ finger snap in the end of Infinity War. Per Gunn’s words:

“I think I can say this: I don’t think Kraglin’s story is finished yet. I think the fans will, at least, get to know what happens with Kraglin, even though I can’t share that right now.”

What this means remains to be seen for Sean Gunn and the character of Kraglin, again, if that means we’ll follow up with him in Avengers 4 or a follow-up to the second Guardians of the Galaxy film, as that third installment has been brought to a screeching halt following the firing of James Gunn. Though it’s worth nothing that Kraglin isn’t technically a full-fledged member of the Guardians, so it’s not unrealistic that he wouldn’t be present when the misfits went on their next adventure.

Given how much Avengers 4 has to accomplish based on how Infinity War ended, it remains to be seen how much, if at all, could possibly be devoted to Kraglin, were he to make his Marvel Cinematic Universe return in this film. But given his connection with Yondu, where would you like to see his story go next? Let us know in the comments below.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was directed by James Gunn and stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, Chris Sullivan, Sean Gunn, Sylvester Stallone, and Kurt Russell. The film is available now on Digital HD, 4K, Blu-Ray, and DVD.
