Sebastian Stan Confirms He Will Return For ‘Avengers 4’

Winter Soldier Sebastian Stan Avengers 4 Infinity War
Sebastian Stan has confirmed he is set to reprise his role of Bucky Barnes, a.k.a. the Winter Soldier, in the currently untitled Avengers 4 in 2019. After recently discussing the filming of Avengers 4, Stan has now made it clear that he will indeed be appearing in the movie, following next year’s Avengers: Infinity War, in which he is also set to feature.

Talking recently to CinemaBlend, while discussing his latest film I, Tonya, Stan said:

“I still haven’t read a script for this next one. For this fourth one. All I know is I’m going down there in October, and that’s all I know. I still actually haven’t read a script for the last one. [laughs] All I knew was what I was involved in, and I was kept on a very ‘need to know’ basis. Maybe that’s the norm. But it’s a family system. There’s a trust, and there’s a sense of knowledge between the writers and the directors, with Kevin [Feige]… that shows up.”

This isn’t the first we’ve heard of Marvel’s utter on-set secrecy, with Tom Holland revealing he didn’t even know what enemy he was fighting while filming Infinity War. Asked about whether Marvel’s close-to-the-chest approach gave him any concerns as an actor, Stan responded:

“I don’t worry about the character. No matter what they decide, they’re going to do the right thing. … I have ownership over the character, but it’s not up to me do decide what happens. But you know, those guys are going to take it to another level. That’s just what they are going to do. And it’s a culmination of so many things up until this point, which is why they can.”

When he starts shooting in October, Stan will be joining the likes of Captain Marvel star Brie Larson, who was recently confirmed to have started work on Avengers 4.

5 Thor Stories That Should Be Used For Future Marvel Movies

Previous1 of 6

Chris Hemsworth Thor MarvelAfter those amazing Thor: Ragnarok trailers, everyone’s talking about Odinson. This looks like a fun movie, and it makes me excited for where they might take Thor in the future. After Avengers: Infinity War, Thor is fair game for Marvel Studios (and hopefully Taika Waititi again) to do whatever they want with him.

There are some amazing Thor stories in the Marvel catalog for them to take inspiration from. I think that’s pretty key at this point, for them to just take inspiration from these stories and not follow the plot 100 percent. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is just too different compared to the Marvel Comics line, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some amazing stories the movies could emulate.

So here are five Thor stories that should be used for future movies. Hit Next to find out more!

He could star a standalone Winter Soldier as well, called The Long Winter or something like it, telling his story as a HYDRA weapon between the 40’s and the 90’s. Plot could be something like this: starts with Bucky being “saved” from death by HYDRA and getting his mind almost completely vanish by cerebral washing. So, he goes to five or six missions, getting new metal arms between some of them, as well as some of his own memories. At the final he “awakes” and try to run away from HYDRA, and some Marvel mercenary or HYDRA agent like Militant goes after him to recapture the Winter Soldier.
