Heroes alum Sendhil Ramamurthy was revealed to have joined the cast of Grant Gustin’s The Flash today at SDCC 2019.

Sendhil Ramamurthy is set to recur as the DC Comics villain Bloodwork in the upcoming sixth season of Grant Gustin’s The Flash. In the comics, Bloodwork is a Central City morgue employee and hemophiliac who developed the ability to transform his flesh into blood-like physiology after experimenting with blood properties.

Sendhil Ramamurthy is best known for his portrayal of Mohinder Suresh on NBC’s Heroes.

The Flash will return for its sixth season later this year. The series is set to become the network’s main DC Comics drama with Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen seemingly leading the other Arrowverse superheroes forward after Arrow completes its final 10-episode run in the fall.

Details on the sixth season of the series are under wraps, but filming for the Grant Gustin series is currently underway.

The series stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen / The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow / Killer Frost, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon / Vibe, Tom Cavanagh as Harrison “Sherloque” Wells, Jesse L. Martin as Joe West, Danielle Nicolet as Cecile Horton, Hartley Sawyer as Ralph Dibny / Elongated Man, Jessica Parker Kennedy as Nora West-Allen, and Chris Klein as Cicada.
